On 07.22.2006, I was lucky enough to check out World Team Tennis at the Newport Beach Country Club with a couple of friends. It was a popular occasion becuase Venus Williams was playing against our very own Newport Beach Breakers. Needless to say, we were no match for the Philadelphia Freedoms and Venus. I think the final score was 21 to 12.. Yikes!

I was lucky enough to bring my camera, so lets check out the pictures.

Michaela Pastikova (i think)

Rick Leach

and Venus Williams.. In person, she's a tall girl and damn muscular. She's a very good tennis player.. I guess, that's why she was ranked #1 in early 2000's (and can potentially get the #1 rank again).

her long reach..

Mr. Mark.. I know he's gonna be upset with me for posting these pics.. but oh well, he's mean to me anyway!! (just kidding, Mark!)

Joycie!

Sharon and Mel

Mason!

and Donnie!

It was a fun night with alot of good tennis. Unfortunately, we came up with a loss, but it was still great to see Venus in action and in person.

Thank you for visiting!

I've been feeling a little down lately, so i figured i would catch up on some blogging..

Here's a wedding i did on 07.07.07 (I know, a little late).. Yep, the lucky day for this year, and I was glad to meet Juliet and Marcus on their wedding date. They were another fun loving couple, and it almost came to the point that I had to keep Marcus away from Juliet during the romantics, cause he couldn't stop kissing her neck and holding her from behind.. it was sooo cute thoug! :)

This wedding was a bit difficult, and another one for Harvard Photography. The difficulty came in a very compressed wedding timeline, and I shot this wedding alone (meaning, no second shooter) and the heat didn't really help any. Overall though it was a fun wedding, and Juliet was relaxed as ever, while Marcus was the one who played the stressed out groom. :)

Here are some shots during the day:

Here's the view from the grooms hotel room.

and this is how the guys celebrated before the wedding..

Here's Juliet with one of her cute flower girls.

And here's Juliet rocking a cool panther tattoo..

Juliet being a goof-ball.. :)

A cute picture of Juliet.

I think I caught her at a wrong time.. All the cheering up in the world, couldn't get the cute baby to smile for my camera. sadness!! but, she's very cute when she's not sporting the angry eyes.

One of Juliet's other flower girls (she had a total of three). She was very ready to pose for the camera.

This being my first time to the Bowers museum, i was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful this place was. I was impressed, and i plan to visit when my schedule permits.

Look at those beautiful eyes!!

a 07.07.07 toast @ 7:07pm.. WOW! that's alot of 7's..

The hall where the reception was held.

There were alot of beautiful places to shoot Juliet and Marcus for romantics, but the Bowers Museum hosted two weddings on the same day, and I didn't get a chance to shoot the couple in the Spanish style courtyard near the main entrance. It was very beautiful and i wished i had an oportunity to shoot there. Oh well, hopefully next time.

Cheers!

Better late than never.. :)

On 06.30.2007, I shot another wedding with Harvard Photography all the way up in Pasadena. A bit far of a drive for me, since this was the first wedding i've shot in the L.A. area, but it was worth it.. Rachel and Randy were absolutely amazing, and i feel jealous to see the amount of love and passion these two had throughout the day. I only wish I could find a fraction of the connection and love with that special lady (whomever you are) that these two had for one another. They were amazing!

The traffic was a nightmare all the way up the 5fwy, and things didnt clear up until I reached the 710. I seriously thought i was gonna be late for the pre-wedding ceremony.

anyway, onto the pictures.

This was Rachel's shoes. I loved it, because the shoe totally fit her bubbley personality..

Here are some shots of Rachel being goofy before getting dressed:

Look at that goofy face..

Here are the groom and groomsmen..

And a very pretty and very sweet friend of theirs, who brought her own camera and basically followed me around the entire day to shoot both wedding parties..

Where the ceremony was held:

The romantics:

The bride and groom dancing.

This was a cool little pic, where the videographer was getting a close up of the bubbles and placed his lights right near the glass.. although, come to think of it, it now looks like beer.. oh well.. :)

Again, a wonderful time with a great couple. I wish them the very best.
